About me

Hi! I'm Amber. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2015. I became a speech language pathologist to give back to something that had given so much to me! After being born with a cleft palate, and receiving years of speech therapy, I knew I wanted to pour into others what had been poured into me and help support others in a journey to find their voice! I have participated in a number of continuing education courses including Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol and Talk Tools:Tongue Tie & Oral Dysfunction: The Impact from Breastfeeding to Table Foods. I am also level 1 PROMPT trained. More recent trainings have focused on neuro-affirming sensory based approaches, AAC, and gestalt langauge processing within the autistic population. I have worked in a number of settings including pediatric home health, skilled nursing facilities, pediatric outpatient clinics, assisted living facilities, non public special needs schools, and charter schools. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, strengths-based, sensory integrated and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.
