About me

Hi! I'm Amber. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2017 and hold Board Certification in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders. My passion has always been helping others improve their quality of life, and I strive to make a meaningful impact through evidence-based practices. I have worked with clients across various settings, including acute care, intensive care units, skilled nursing facilities, and home health. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as an assistant professor at St. John’s University, where I have taught Language Disorders Across the Lifespan, Speech Disorders Across the Lifespan, and Research Seminar. Beyond teaching, I have presented at national, state, and local conferences on topics such as managing complex patients in the intensive care unit, person-centered approaches to communication disorders, and pulmonary considerations for speech-language pathologists. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, functional, personalized, strengths-based, and deeply rooted in client empowerment to foster self-advocacy.
