About me

Hi! I'm Amber. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2023. I became an SLP because of my deep passion for working with the pediatric population and my profound belief in the transformative power of communication. I’ve witnessed firsthand how providing individuals with the ability to communicate effectively can be life-changing. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping a child find their voice and seeing the positive impact it has on their overall development and quality of life. Moreover, I truly love connecting with clients and their families, working together to achieve their goals. Building those relationships and collaborating on strategies to enhance communication skills is both fulfilling and inspiring. Seeing the progress and celebrating the milestones with families makes every challenge worthwhile. I am working toward additional training and professional development currently and will have more to contribute in the near future. I have worked in private practice. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, individualized/personalized, family-centric, strengths-based, and neurodiversity affirming.

Other interests

When I’m not working, I’m usually hanging out with my golden retriever, Finn. We love going on walks, hikes, and just exploring the great outdoors together—he’s always up for an adventure or a car ride! I’m also a big fan of curling up with a good book or watching a great movie. Lately, I’ve been getting into house plants, and I find it really soothing to take care of them. Additionally, I have a soft spot for supporting small businesses, especially local coffee shops (I'll never say no to an iced latte!) and restaurants.
