About me

Hi! I'm Ashley. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2022. I decided to become an SLP in 2015 due to my desire to pursue a field where I could actively serve others on a daily basis through my work. After shadowing and gaining insight from family and close friends who were practicing SLPs, I immediately knew this was the career for me. Considering my life is uniquely fulfilled by the ability to communicate with others, I was eager to pursue a career where I could help others maintain or rehabilitate lost skills in the many areas within our scope of practice. Further, I desired to learn how to implement skilled clinical expertise to help others meet their communication goals. So what better field to pursue than speech-language pathology!? Since then, I have developed a strong passion for helping others find their voice, communicate meaningfully with others, and improve their quality of life through speech therapy services. I've received training in Diagnosis and Treatment of CAS - Using Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC). I worked in settings such as early intervention, schools, and private practice. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, family-centric, routines-based, and strengths-based.

I felt very comfortable with Ashley, and she took me through some exercises that I did not know would help identify my areas of improvement. It was unique and helpful.
