About me

Hi! I'm Bailey. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2022. I became an SLP because I wanted to help people. One big influence for me choosing this career path was my sister. She was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder when we were growing up, and I remember taking her to see an SLP. The SLP who helped her made such an impact on her life including her articulation and social skills, it was amazing. I completed an additional year of coursework at Kent State University to gain my Certificate of Early Intervention so that I can work with children ages birth to five. I also have my Developmental Specialist License in the state of Ohio. I am also certified and trained for AAC and Gestalt Language Processing, Echolalia, and Natural Language Acquisition. I worked in settings such as schools (preschool and school age). I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, individualize/personalized, routines-based, sensory integrated, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.

Could use more help. My child understands everything you say just not saying anything.
