About me

Hello! I'm Berthlyne. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2021. Throughout my life I've always found my calling to be helping others. My love for children led me to dive deeper with that calling and find my niche as a pediatric SLP. Having loved ones diagnosed with autism, down syndrome, Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's, and cancer pushed me to continue the journey of being of service to all populations. The rewards of being an SLP are endless and knowing how even more rewarding it is for those who rely on us makes all the difference. I have worked in settings such as outpatient, private practice, in home, and schools. I have taken courses, trainings, and certifications in the following: Modified Barium Swallow Impairment Profile (MBSIP) certification, positive behavior training, PROMPT training, Lidcombe Program training, courses in Gestalt Processing and Natural Language Acquisition. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, individualized/personalized, family-centric, strengths-based, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.
