About me

Hello! I'm Heather. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2003 because it allowed me to work in several of my areas of passion all at once - language, medicine, education, and literacy! It gave me the opportunity to do what I love and help people along the way. I have worked in settings such as home health, outpatient clinics, schools, early intervention, acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, telemedicine. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, and strengths-based.

Other interests

I love reading, writing, and creating art! I am a Girl Scout leader, PTO volunteer, and chairperson of a non-profit organization in my town. I love spending time with my husband and three daughters. We are a big softball family, so you will often find me in the sidelines cheering for my girls, or running the snack shack. We also love the beach in summer!

I really liked the therapist. She was personable and took time to learn about my son (the patient) beyond his speech issues.
