About me

Hi! I'm Marlee. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2020. I became a SLP after spending time working in an alternative school and outpatient clinic with children presenting with significant behaviors. I saw that communication barriers were often a cause of these behaviors and the positive impact that supporting communication could have. Additionally, I have always enjoyed working with children, and the variety areas within speech-language pathology interested me. I worked in settings such as early intervention, pediatric home health, pediatric outpatient/private practice, schools (preschool, elementary school, alternative school), skilled nursing. I have received trainings and taken courses in Autism Navigator for Early Intervention Providers presented by Florida State University (40 Hours) and Diagnostic Guide for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders: The 4-Digit Code (25 Hours). I would describe my clinical style as functional, individualized/personalized, routines-based, and strengths-based.
