About me

Hi! I'm Megan. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2016. I stumbled upon speech-language pathology in college, and I was so excited to find a field that combines my passions of language, science, and serving people. In high school, I had several volunteer and work opportunities where I interacted with other high school students or kids with special needs. I loved learning how to engage with students and kids with special needs and it opened my eyes to the ways in which I needed to be patient, creative, and open to different ways of communicating with those who have specific communication needs. Those who have difficulty communicating have so much to share, and it has been an honor to advocate and work alongside clients and families to have their voices heard. I worked in settings such as SNFs, home health, early intervention, outpatient clinics, teletherapy, and elementary schools. I have completed a variety of trainings and courses including PECS, LSVT Loud, Introduction to PROMPT, MBSIMP, implementation of TPBA-2, Bjorem Assessment and Treatment of Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and Executive Functioning courses with Sarah Ward. It is important to note that I do not currently have active LSVT Loud or MBSIMP certifications at this time. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, strengths-based, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.
