About me

Hi! I'm Rebecca. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) in 2019. I became an SLP to merge my passion for communication with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals across all ages and diagnoses. With a diverse range of experiences and a strong belief in the transformative power of communication, I specialize in addressing speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive challenges. My passion lies in fostering meaningful connections and promoting independence, guiding clients through personalized therapy approaches tailored to their unique needs. Whether working with children to develop speech and language skills or aiding adults in regaining cognitive-communication abilities after injury or illness, I am dedicated to facilitating growth and empowerment at every step of the journey. With a compassionate and collaborative approach, I strive to make a lasting difference in the lives of those I serve, empowering them to communicate with confidence and thrive in their personal and professional endeavors. I have completed Social Thinking trainings, am certified in the McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program and am pursuing certification in the SPEAK OUT! program for Parkinson's. I worked in settings such as schools, private practice, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient, and home health. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, strengths-based, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.
